Junior Leadership Program

504 Athletics recognizes the impact that youth can have on our communities and as such are invested in the growth and development of the youth that are involved in our programs! Junior Coach program is a 12-month program that is built to channel youth energy in a positive way, but also prepares the next generation of leadership in the workforce and in our communities.


This program will be an important component in what makes 504 athletics  so special.  Our main goals are to provide participants with a positive coaching experience, ongoing learning, and the skills and education for them to continue on in coaching and into the future. We are striving to develop more than athletes; we are developing people.


This program  will give athletes a chance to further their talent in the all star cheer  and have them grow as amazing young adults.

Skills athletes will gain include: Leadership skills, Communication Skills, Time-Management skills, and Organizational skills (planning practices).


Who Can Apply ?


Any current athlete registered on a senior cheer team that is 12 years or older may apply for the program.


What are the objective goals ?


As a member of the Junior Coach Leadership Program, your job is to assist the head coach(es) in successfully running practices and/or rec tumbling classes.  This may include practice planning, taking the lead on stretch, and drills.

Attendance at monthly training sessions is strongly encouraged.


We believe leaders are made through experience. Athletes will be volunteers and receive leadership training year-round to better themselves. Such as but not limited to: resume, interview, community service, and business skills training.


What is the length of the program ?


Session 1: August - October

Session 2: November - January

Session 3: February - April


Chosen Applicants will begin coaching May 1, 2025.
